Ambulight now also available in the Maxima Medical Center
Early 2013 – once again much media attention for our skin cancer PDT treatment Ambulight. The Maxima Medical Center (MMC) in the Netherlands also began using Ambulight.
“The fact that skin cancer is treated with light is not new,” says Dr. Tim Smits, dermatologist at Maxima Medical Center. However, patients had to go to the hospital for photodynamic therapy (PDT), where they received intensive radiation for three hours using a big lamp. With the new LED plaster, patients can simply go home or to work. “Furthermore, patients experience less pain with this method and that is of course very pleasant.”
